Theta Pond
Theta Pond

In 1895, a pond was built by students for use as a reservoir to solve the water shortage problems being experienced by the Oklahoma A&M College campus. The pond then known as the Horse Pond, was later renamed in 1922 to become Theta Pond after the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority house, located across the street. Theta Pond has gradually developed into a favorite scenic landmark at OSU.
