Civil and environmental engineering deal with the natural and manmade environment. Options in each are available. Civil engineering students study the physics, chemistry and fluid mechanics affecting structures and materials, while environmental engineering students learn how to responsibly engineer the environment to benefit mankind. Graduates can work in a host of areas, including urban renewal, reduction of air and water pollution, planning and building new communities, providing water, power and high-speed ground transportation.
