At Oklahoma State, we accept applications on a rolling admission basis, so there's no application deadline. We encourage you to apply early, however, to give yourself the best opportunities for early housing selection and scholarship consideration. Use the important dates listed below to keep on track as you work to become an OSU Cowboy.
Application process opens: Students who have completed their junior year in high school, or transfer students, can begin applying for the following year.
Housing application opens: Admitted students can complete their housing application to secure a place in line to pick rooms.
Scholarship deadline (Students entering in Spring semester): You must submit all application materials by this date for scholarship consideration.
FAFSA filing opens: All incoming students are encouraged to complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) as soon as possible after January 1, to be considered for all financial aid opportunities.
Priority scholarship deadline (Students entering in Fall semester): You must submit all application materials (including essays) by this date to guarantee you're considered for all OSU scholarships.
New Student Orientation & Enrollment Registration opens: Admitted students can begin signing up for a New Student Orientation & Enrollment session. During your session, you will meet with academic advisers, confirm your academic college and major, enroll in classes, meet other new students and learn about campus resources. Orientation is mandatory for new students, and multiple sessions are available.
Housing selection opens: Admitted students who have completed their housing application will be allowed to select a room in the order their housing application was received. Students will receive notification of their selection date through Residential Life.
Housing refund deadline: Last day to cancel a housing application and receive a deposit refund.
Final scholarship deadline (Students entering in Fall semester): Last day to submit application materials, such as updated test scores or transcripts, for final scholarship consideration.
